Ongoing Projets

“Projet d’excellence” backed by the Fondation de l’Université de Lille.

The aim of this project is to make Weil’s philosophical work more widely available to English-speaking researchers.

“This projet will contribute to the Université de Lille’s research excellence and its international visibility by fostering research activity in the English-speaking philosophical community around Éric Weil’s philosophical output and its themes. Numerous themes from Éric Weil’s work resonate with current events, specifically the social questions that he asked, such as the question violence in all its forms, the question of the conditions of possibility of argumentation and its limits, the question of the conflict between the state and society in the framework of a globalized society, the question of the opposition between modernity and different forms of tradition, etc. "
